Eating in Camperduin: by the lagoon and on the beach

Camperduin has few places to eat but they are well placed: beach pavilions right on the sea and places by the lagoon that appeared after the reinforcement of the Hondsbossche Zeewering. It is busy in high season, because the car park draws day trippers from a wide area.

Camperduin is barely a village, more a beach access on the Noord-Holland coast with some buildings around it. The choice of places to eat is small and nearly all of it sits by the water.

What is that lagoon?

A small lake between the dunes and the sea defence, formed after the reinforcement of the Hondsbossche Zeewering. It is shallower and more sheltered there than at the open sea, which makes it pleasant with small children.

When is it busy?

On sunny days between May and September. The car park here is large and pulls visitors in from across the region. Coming early or late in the day makes a lot of difference.

How is this order decided?

The order below is not for sale. We sort on the Google rating, then on the number of reviews, then on the distance to the beach access. Whoever is at the top is there because guests put them there.
