Sleeping in Groet: quieter than Schoorl, just as close to the dunes
Groet is a ribbon village between Schoorl and Camperduin, with the Schoorlse Duinen directly to the west. What is on offer is mostly campsites and holiday homes. You are as close to the dunes here as in Schoorl, but with fewer day trippers around you.
Anyone who wants the dunes but not the crowds sleeps in Groet instead of Schoorl. It costs you two kilometres and saves you a great many parked cars.
How far is it to the sea?
To Camperduin is about two kilometres north, to Hargen aan Zee slightly further. You can cycle through the dunes; by car you go round.
Is anything open in winter?
Not much. Some of the places to eat and drink in this area open fewer days in winter. Look at our page on what is open now before you get on the bike in January.
How is this order decided?
The order below is not for sale. We sort on the Google rating, then on the number of reviews, then on the distance to the beach access. Whoever is at the top is there because guests put them there.
